Phil Platt will oversee the firm’s rapidly growing operations
MENLO PARK, CA (11 May 2023) – Bordeaux Wealth Advisors (“Bordeaux”), a boutique investment advisory and wealth management firm based in Silicon Valley and Seattle, is pleased to announce the addition of Phil Platt to the firm in the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Mr. Platt brings nearly 20 years of experience leading the operations of wealth management and multi-family office firms that serve high-net-worth families – most recently with Coldstream Wealth Management, where he led and oversaw a period of significant growth. Prior to joining the wealth management industry, Phil held a management role at Microsoft’s Xbox division.
Bordeaux has grown significantly since its founding just over six years ago. CEO Tom Myers notes that “all of our key business metrics – headcount, assets under management, and revenue – have tripled since our founding in March of 2017. As a result of this growth, Bordeaux is a much larger and more complex organization today and at a point where we need full-time management so the managing partners can spend more time serving clients and less time running the business.”

Mr. Platt is Bordeaux’s eighth new hire in 2023, which represents a 30% increase in firm personnel since the beginning of the year. Myers noted that “Bordeaux had another record year in 2022 for new client additions. We expect that trend to continue in 2023 and for the foreseeable future. We are hiring more advisors and support staff to enable Bordeaux to serve even more clients in the future without diminishing our service to existing clients. We strive to set the gold standard for advice and service, and we believe these new hires will position us to do that.”
