Chao’s career in the financial services industry began five years ago and he currently provides ongoing investment research and reporting support to the client service teams as a Wealth Advisor.
Prior to his current position, Chao was an analyst at Calvert Research and Management specializing in socially responsible investing and ESG research within their fund research group. Prior to that, he conducted investment research, designed trading strategies, and actively engaged in operating philanthropic projects for a private foundation in Boston.
Chao earned his Master of Finance from University of Maryland Smith School of Business, and graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Chemistry. He is currently a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco.
Chao grew up in Shenzhen, China, and now lives with his wife and son in Dublin, California. He enjoys traveling, playing basketball and tennis, and is passionate about technology and science.
